Ginger is the fragrant root of a tropical plant native to Northern India. This is perhaps the most useful of spices! Spicy, tart flavor of ginger is due to the essential oil contained in it (1.2-3%), and its burning taste depends on the presence of phenol-like substance gingerol. Active ingredients: essential oils (1-3%), camphine, felandrin, cineole, borneol, citral, gingerol. It is rich in vitamins C, B1, B2 and A, iron, sodium, potassium zinc; salts of magnesium, phosphorus, calcium. In addi
